Lahore: TNS Beaconhouse DHA arranged a comprehensive display of the projects done by students of MYP I, II & III (Classes VI-VIII) on April 10, 2019. TNS opened its doors to parents, who witnessed the brilliant projects displayed all around in the school’s hall. As part of the TNS curricula, every year students from MYP originate Personal Projects that evolve around a sustained, self-directed, student-centered and in-depth inquiry within a global context, goal and product criteria. These MYP projects are based on student’s personal interest and focus significantly on the process that directs student’s inquiry around four steps – Investigation, Planning, Taking Action and Reflection. These steps form the basis of assessment criteria for the personal projects. The Personal Project Process Journal is one of the major components, which reflects the student’s learning via records of different formats of data, ideas, observations, reflections and planning decisions that are used for writing the project report. According to the International Baccalaureate Organization, MYP projects encourage students to reflect on their learning and the outcomes of their work, demonstrate responsible action, appreciate the process of learning and take pride in their accomplishments. Within this process, students develop and practice key skills that prepare them for success in further study, the workplace and the community.
