Job Description:

    School Improvement Plan (10%)
  • Collaborate with the Section Heads for conducting a SWOT analysis for the school.
  • In conjunction with the Section Heads articulate a vision for the School and prepare a School Improvement Plan (SIP) and ensure its effective monitoringand support.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the SIP.

  • Academic Management (30%)
  • Relate the educational objectives of the school to instructional practices that yield the highest standards of student learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and implement BSS Curriculum and its philosophy in accordance with Academic Practices & Procedures Manual (APPM) and ensure curriculum standards are in line with internal benchmarks.
  • Develop new academic and interscholastic programmes and track data related to the success of such programmes.
  • Oversee the evaluation of existing programmes and practices, curriculum content, and piloting of experimental programmes.
  • Oversee the evaluation of the curricula to provide feedback to the relevant Education Manager at Head Office.
  • Recognise and seek alternative learning solutions for students with behavioural or learning difficulties.
  • Coordinate with the school academic team to prepare for School Evaluation Unit (SEU) evaluations.

  • Perform training need analysis in collaboration with CSO SIPD person and Section Heads.
  • Identify learning and training needs of employees in collaboration with CSO SIPD person and prepare a ‘School Based Professional Development Plan and ensure its execution within the time frame.
  • Prepare professional development calendar at the year start in collaboration with SIPD Teams and Section Heads.
  • Ensure implementation and deployment of PD activities according to PD Calendar.

  • Discipline / Health and safety / School ethos (5%)
  • Promote standards of conduct, discipline and proper regard for authority among pupils.
  • Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in case of misbehaviour.
