Battle of the Bands

Battle of the Bands 2018, hosted by the Music Society of BMI-A commenced with a bang. Students of Classes VIII to A level from various schools across Pakistan participated in the event. The judges for the mega event were Maria Unera of Nescafé Basement and Anil Saleem, lead singer of the band Deja Vu. The chief guest was Beaconhouse North Executive Director Mr Nassir Kasuri.
It was truly a perfect opportunity for budding musicians from various Beaconhouse braches and other schools to showcase their talent. All the participants gave outstanding performances with harmonious instruments and melodious vocals which completely captivated the crowd.
Fully immersed in the musical spirit, students cheered the contestants and grabbed a few bites from the food stall. Hooria Said and Muhammad Zahid Iqbal emerged as the winning band. They had performed a cover of “Seven Nations Army” by White Stripes. Zayneb Moen won the first place in the solo category while the runner-up was Adan Raja.
