BIC Partners with Prestigious UK Universities

Islamabad, Pakistan, August 24, 2021: Beaconhouse International College (BIC) held its Corporate Launch in Islamabad to celebrate its Transnational Higher Education partnerships with prestigious UK universities allowing students to study for the globally-recognised degrees at its state-of-the-art standalone purpose-built campuses in Lahore, Faisalabad, and Islamabad.



As a truly international organisation, Beaconhouse International College has forged successful partnerships with leading UK universities including Liverpool John Moores University, University of London (UOL), and Pearson UK to introduce programmes in Engineering, Business, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Law.



It is also notable that this is the first time ever that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan will recognize International Engineering Degrees studied locally in the fields of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering - This is a distinction that only BIC holds.



The event was attended by luminaries and dignitaries and included speeches by the Acting British High Commissioner, Ms. Alison Blackburn, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive LJMU, Mr. Mark Power (joined virtually), Vice President Higher Education Qualifications Pearson, Ms. Jane Baker (virtually), Acting High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, His Excellency Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Sallah, Chargé des Affaires Embassy of Palestine, His Excellency Mr. Nadir El Turk.



Regional Advisor South Asia, University of London Worldwide, Mr. Saad Wasim, Deputy Director Accreditation Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, Mr. Aamir Shahzad, The CEO Beaconhouse International College, Mr. Nassir Mahmud Kasuri and Country General Manager Beaconhouse International College - Ms. Raana Sarmad also addressed the audience.

The CEO Beaconhouse International College, Mr. Nassir Mahmud Kasuri said in his opening remarks, “By partnering with some of the UK's leading institutions, we have synthesised their knowledge with our 45 years of our local experience to deliver programmes uniquely suited to Pakistani students, which also allow them to compete at the highest levels internationally.”



Speaking at the event, Acting British High Commissioner, Her Excellency, Ms. Alison Blackburn said,

“I am delighted to see that Beaconhouse International College and Liverpool John Moores University have collaborated to enable Pakistani students to access UK degree programmes in Pakistan. The UK government is committed to supporting the growth of international partnerships and collaboration in education & look forward to continuing to welcome students from Pakistan to study, both in the UK and through enrolment in programmes delivered in partnership with institutions in Pakistan”.





Mr. Mark Power, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) UK stated:



“Beaconhouse international college is now part of the Liverpool John Moores university family. It can trace its origins back to 1823 with the establishment of the Liverpool Mechanics and Apprentices Library, and this laid the foundations of the Liverpool Mechanics Institute which opened in 1825 so nearly 200 years later, these institutions have been evolved to become the modern day school of engineering at Liverpool John Moores University which is now working with Beaconhouse International College to offer its electrical and electronics and mechanical engineering degrees in Pakistan.”
