New school in South East Asia
Beaconhouse has acquired the St. Paul Center for Progressive Education in Cebu City, Philippines.
The school was founded in Ormoc City in 1975 as the Saints Peter and Paul Learning Center. In 1982, it transferred to Cebu City and has evolved to the St. Paul Learning Center Inc., which is comprised of a pre-school and a grade school.

Training programme expands
Beaconhouse has negotiated an agreement with University College Plymouth St. Mark & St. John in the UK to offer new training programmes to its teachers starting fall 2009. The programmes are at PGCert level, and will be offered in Early Years, Primary, and Secondary Math and Science. They will add to the PGCert in Training that Beaconhouse already offers through the college.

Chief Executive on Geo TV
Beaconhouse Chief Executive Kasim Kasuri was interviewed live on Geo TV`s Nadia Khan Show at 10 am on June 12. Mr Kasuri talked about the school system and answered questions from callers. The programme was also broadcast wordwide on Geo TV`s satellite linkup.
