A DAY IN THE PRE-NURSERY / NURSERY
The BSS understands how important the very first day at school is for you and your child.

You and your child are welcome to spend the first day together, in the school. This is so that both of you can get to know the staff and the environment. On the very first day, the school will have organized many fun activities, which you, the teacher and the child can enjoy together.

In order to ease the distress of temporary separation for you and your child, the length of the first few days will be shorter than usual (the exact timings will be provided by the school office).

On the second day, you will be expected to leave your child in the care of the teacher and the school.

Do not worry if your child cries. Some children settle immediately and never cry; some cry on the first day and never again; some during the first week, and some many weeks later. Teachers and ayahs are accustomed to dealing with students in this situation and can settle, comfort, and distract your child far better without you there.
