Parents Role: The Triangle
The BSS views education as a partnership between a parent, teacher and child.

Pre-Nursery / Nursery
The BSS understands how important the very first day at school is for you and your child.

The Curriculum Framework
At the Beaconhouse School System, the Early Years
Curricula are based upon active forms of learning, on enquiry, on discovery, and on first hand experiences.

Our Pre-Nursery and Nursery offer learning as an integrated whole. Young students do not view the world in terms of subject boundaries; they do not differentiate between work and play. These curricula are therefore planned in cross-curricular themes, which include opportunities for indoor and outdoor play, for Language, Mathematical, Personal, Social, Physical and Creative Development.

We see play as important, in terms of helping students to integrate their learning and to apply their knowledge in new and fascinating ways - innovatively, imaginatively, uniquely and in a manner which makes sense to them. We have set up educational environments where play is encouraged.
